As a graduate from the Bachelor of Theater you will be able to design, manage, and produce theatre projects. You will use and interpret complementary languages and functional and transformative strategies for acting, theater direction, scenic design, scenic research, and theater criticism, and be part of theater companies and creative processes in television, movies, and publicity with a critical and open attitude and social commitment

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Theater we propose to:

  • Give you up-to-date technical bases of the different aspects of theater, electronic media, and digital platforms related to scenic creation and theater.
  • Develop your abilities in theater criticism, promotion, and teaching.
  • Teach you to carry out experimentation and theater research projects, including those for television and movies.
  • Train you to apply fundamental principles of theater and cultural marketing.
  • Encourage your intellectual curiosity, initiative, discipline, and creativity for your personal growth.
  • Promote your knowledge of the scenic arts, so theater, and the general media, will be enriched.
  • Likes to perform on stage.
  • Is curious about the process of script writing.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.
  • Able to perform professionally through the internal and external construction of a character – linking it to its dramatic circumstances, the fabric of its actions, and the physical, emotional, and intellectual motivations specific to the work – for theater or media.
  • Knows the dramatic, aesthetic, ideological, and conceptual components of a scene, and analyzes them by identifying the current scenic trends, to critically evaluate scenic phenomena.
  • Skilled in relating stage practice to complementary languages of theater such as music, cinematography, radio, dance, performance arts, and alternative scenic experimentation, in order to create innovative interdisciplinary projects through critical approaches relevant to their context.
  • Experienced in developing art projects in acting, directing, scenic design, and collective theater experience, by analyzing different scenic phenomena and proposing innovative creations for a given global context.
  • Able to produce theater at a professional level, by developing its different fields, to make an integral project and contribute to theater development.
  • Comfortable creating innovative works, framed in the current trends of the scenic arts.
